The book on Patan Hospital is about to be finished. I’m fortunate to have some great people supporting me. Now all the stories have been proofread several times and I’m closing in on a finished product. Hopefully I’ll get it printed in a couple of months. Attacked by a rare syndrome “It hurts. My leg. […]
Urban youngsters and rural farmers. Former monks and craftsmen. From all ethnic groups and religions. The patients who have shared their lives in this book are diverse. Together they make up the impressive huge number of people being treated at Patan Hospital every year. Behind the statistics, there are people who all have a story […]
Life in Tibet was too hard for Nawang Tenzing. He had to get out. He walked for 25 days, crossed the border in the high Himalayas into Nepal and joined a monastry in Solukhombo, the district of Mount Everest. He had only been a buddhist monk for a year when he met Thaden Lama, also […]
«Living Kathmandu».

They were in a rush to reach a religious festival to offer some goats… Well, they didn’t reach it. They were hit from behind and Amanta fell off […]
I have been two weeks at Patan Hospital, meeting doctors and nurses, patients and relatives. Here are some of them. You’ll have to wait for the book to read their stories though… Stay tuned. Or read the story about A crushed dream in Mumbai.
Living close to the Indian border in southern Nepal, Ramesh Mehta was intrigued by the opportunities at the prosperous neighbor in the south. “Our father is sick and he can’t work anymore. We don’t have our own land and it was to difficult for me to find a job. My friend told me I could […]
Onsdag våkner jeg forhåpentligvis i New Delhi. I 2008 lagde jeg reportasjeboka «Life – In Okhaldhunga Community Hospital». Like […]
